JFK Redevelopment Opportunity Scholarships

The JFK Redevelopment Opportunity Scholarship programs at Vaughn College of Aeronautics & Technology and at the CUNY Aviation Center at York College, which will create opportunities in aviation and engineering for students from communities surrounding JFK International Airport, while also helping to meet the demand for skilled professionals at the region’s airport facilities. The scholarship program is funded jointly by the Port Authority and the private terminal developer partners: New Terminal One (T1), JFK Millennium Partners (T6), American Airlines (T8), Delta Air Lines and JFKIAT (T4). 

 

Students living near John F. Kennedy International Airport in the ZIP codes* closest to the airport can apply for a full-tuition scholarship.

 

Bachelor’s Degree at Vaughn College of Aeronautics & Technology

High school seniors living in the communities around JFK Airport and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aviation, aeronautics, or a related field at Vaughn College will be awarded a full-tuition scholarship for 4-years of study. Selected scholarship recipients will also have access to internship opportunities with the Port Authority or the private terminal developers/operators.

Master’s Degree at the CUNY Aviation Center at York College

Graduate students living in the communities around JFK Airport and pursuing a master’s degree in aviation management at the CUNY Aviation Center at York College will be awarded a full-tuition scholarship for up to 2-years of full-time or part-time study. Selected scholarship recipients will also have access to internship and fellowship opportunities with the Port Authority or the private terminal developers/operators.
